Tuesday was booth pick day at the Sawdust Festival. After hanging out all day and watching all the booths disappear it was finally my turn! And here is what I chose, booth #225. I'm over by the kids art spot and the Greek stand.
Here is my Panel for the Sawdust Festival fundraiser. It will be displayed in my booth this summer and you will be able to come and bid on it. I had so much fun painting this panel that I'm thinking of doing a whole series for the show. The Sawdust Festival starts on June 25th!

If you follow my blog then you would remember Elliott's new born and 6 month photographs. Well now she's turned one and she is absolutely adorable!
For this shoot the whole family went down to the beach in San Clemente. I am definitely more afraid of the ocean than Elliott is. She ran straight for the waves as soon as we got down to the beach.
I photographed Erica's head-shots not too long ago down at the Montage in Laguna Beach. The weather was beautiful that day and Erica couldn't have looked more gorgeous!
The first Artist Series Trunk Show went great! But if you missed it don't worry because there will be another on in Emerald Bay on November 14th! Thanks to everyone who did come out and hope to see you again at the next one! Don't forget that Jewlers Hodel Perlman and Sarvi Hosseini will be joining us this time.
Come to our trunk show and support your local artists! The first series is on October 24th from 6pm-10pm and will feature artists Brynne Cogorno, Nansea Williams, and myself. It is important that you RSVP to stacey@staceytaxin.com because the show is being held in the gated community of Emerald Bay in Laguna Beach.
This past week I taught a Digital Photography Workshop to a group of teens who came from all over the country and Israel to participate in the OC ArtsFest. I had the best group of kids hands down! We went to The Mission in San Juan Capistrano to take pictures the first day. On the second day we came to the Sawdust Festival to talk to some of the artist and then down to Heisler Park to take more pictures. On Thursday they had their final performance at Chapman University where they had their prints displayed in an exhibition and a killer slideshow of their work during the final performance. I am so proud of all of my kids and I wanted to post their slideshow here so you all can see what an amazing job they did. Keep it up ArtsFest teens!
The Sawdust Festival is officially open! After months of preparation I finally have my booth together and you need to come see it. But for now here are some photos. The Sawdust Festival is open 10am-10pm monday-friday. And I am here everyday so come visit. Hope to see you soon.
Sophia had her birthday party not too long ago in a cute little park in Laguna Beach.
She was so adorable! These are the most delicious cupcakes! They came all the way from Montecino from a cupcake shop called Whodidily. Trust me they are way better than Sprinkles cupcakes! This was Sophia's first taste of a sweet treat. I think she liked it! Present time!
